When House Jenny called us, the homeowners wanted a sleek, modern kitchen that felt natural and inviting, with clean lines and long-lasting materials. Their key requirements were a warm grey colour scheme, handcrafted woodwork, and a functional but beautiful arrangement. We were thrilled to collaborate with them to design a unique venue that would reflect their concept. They desired the elegance of grey cabinetry, a prominent focal point in the form of a custom-made cooker hood, and sturdy worktops that could survive daily usage while bringing warmth to the kitchen.
The Challenger
House Jenny’s kitchen installation posed a unique challenge: the homeowners requested a minimalist kitchen made of natural, eco-friendly materials, with creative accents to distinguish the space. They desired the elegance of grey cabinetry, a prominent focal point in the form of a custom-made cooker hood, and sturdy worktops that would withstand daily usage while bringing warmth to the kitchen.
To achieve this, we chose a Folkstone Grey PVC wrap with an 80mm Shaker door shape. This option offered the kitchen a modern yet timeless look, with the Shaker profile giving a touch of historic charm while maintaining clean lines. For the worktops, the homeowners chose custom-made bamboo in a 30mm thickness. Bamboo was not only an environmentally sustainable choice, but it also provided natural warmth to complement the coolness of the grey cabinetry, making the kitchen more welcoming.
The focal point of this kitchen installation was a custom-made cooker hood that was designed to blend in with the overall aesthetic while making a subtle statement. To maintain the client’s intended streamlined appearance, we installed a 600mm integrated Bosch extractor fan hidden under the bespoke hood, offering both style and efficient ventilation.
The Result
The finished kitchen installation at House Jenny was a stylish, inviting space that reflected the homeowners’ concept. The Folkstone Grey PVC-wrapped cabinets, along with the 80mm Shaker door profile, produced a modern and coherent style, while the bamboo worktops provided a natural, eco-friendly warmth. The custom-made cooker hood stood out, providing a unique touch to the design’s clean lines.
